I Hurt My Back in the Bounce House

I have been accused on more than one occasion of having not grown up. It is not because of my maturity level, because I have that in spades. I just know that kids have a lot of fun, and I don’t mind jumping in and having fun with them. Sometimes, it literally is jumping in too. When we went to the family reunion last year, there was a huge bounce house. The kids were having a blast in it, so I went in to have some fun too. Well, I ended up visiting a Concord chiropractor a few days later because I learned that just because I like having fun with the kids does not mean I always should.

The first few jumps were not bad. They were actually fun, and my kids and I were having a blast with all their cousins. I decided to get fancy with my jumping around though, and that is when the trouble started. If I was maybe 30 years younger, I would have been just fine. Instead, I landed wrong, and the kids giggled so much at how I had to crawl out of there. I would have done the same at their age though!

I was not hurt terribly bad, but I knew that I had twisted something. It just felt like something was slightly off, and I wanted to have it checked. I had not been to a chiropractor in a long time, as in well over a decade, but I remember how good I felt after I had a few adjustments after I fell on some ice and hurt my back. I was hoping for a repeat of that, and that is exactly what I got. Within minutes of my adjustment, I felt the way I had before I started bouncing around with the younger family members. Maybe I’ll stick to playing cards with my own age group next time.
